Mission statement
Institute for Contemporary Art serves individual artists, arts organizations, art historians, curators, scholars, students, art critics, art journalists and broader public.
We promote freedom to create, develop, experience and understand the arts.
We accomplish this by offering informational, organizational and financial assistance to individuals and institutions, supporting art programs and supplemental education, and by building collaborative relationships with others who advocate for the arts in Croatia and internationally. Institute is making access to art world easier for those who create it, consume it and invest in it.

Primary goals
• To serve individual artists' careers, but always to recognize the critical dynamics among art making, art organizations/professionals, and donors.
• To foster exchange of information among Croatian and global art scene and promote contemporary creativity.
• To foster the development of the public perception of artists' value to society.
• To create, develop and sustain programs of the highest standards that shows best practices in the field and make us recognized as expert in how to maximize public good through support of artist careers.
• To provide professional advocacy in strengthening local and international cultural policy.

Activities
• collecting, maintaining and distributing information on contemporary arts from Croatia and CEE region
• building a structure for collaborative and exchange projects
• initiating local and international contemporary art projects
• offering training possibilities and supplemental education
• supporting art scene logistically, organizationally, financially and professionally
